She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dewey Gwathney and Lyda Lucille Gwathney; her husband Erwin Hillis; her siblings, Ralph Gwathney, Richard Gwathney, Jimmy Gwathney and Joyce Justice; and her daughters, Judy Hillis and Karen Hillis.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Hudgins (Frankie), Dorothy Hillis, James Hillis, Kenneth Hillis, Billy Hillis (Stephanie) and Robert Hillis (Amanda); and her siblings, Alvie Gwathney, Annette Pruitt, Barbara Mefford and Sherri Lyons. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren.
