He was predeceased by: his parents, Merritt Robbins and Lucile Robbins; his brother Calvin Robbins; and his son Michael Robbins. He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginger" Robbins; his sisters, Edwina "Sissy" and Mary Ann Jones; his sons, Merritt Marcus Robbins II and Mitchell Lee Robbins; and his grandchildren, Merritt Marcus Robbins III, Meagan Elizabeth Robbins "Little Darling" and Camden Lee Robbins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel (2500 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Huntsville (600 Governors Dr SW, Huntsville, AL 35801).
