She was predeceased by: her parents, Verna Hinshaw Wilson and Earl Toy Wilson; her husband W. M. Merl Thompson; and her son William Dale Thompson. She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Mefford (Larry) and Gelan Hollis (Kevin); her grandchildren, Tanya Mefford, Doug Mefford, Karri Franks, Laura Taymon, Kevin Hollis II and Chad Hollis; her great grandchildren, Madyann, Georgia, Ayden, Marilyn and Chelsea; her great great grandchildren, Levi and Whitley; and her brother Dan Wilson (Judy).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home (2500 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel (2500 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760). A burial was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Hayden Cemetery Hayden Cemetery.
