He is survived by: his wife Kay Howard of New Hope; his children, John Howard (Hidelisa) of San Francisco and Jennifer Merry (Bryan) of Madison, Alabama; his grandchildren, Olive Merry, Charlotte Merry of Madison and Alaina Howard of San Francisco, California; and his nieces and nephews, Joe Vann Howard Jr. and Jessie Graves.
