He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Milton Drake and Cora Lee Drake; his brother Kenneth Drake; and his grandson Eric Reed. He is survived by: his wife Alta Rebecca Drake; his children, Annette Drake Hayaux (Paul), Rocky Drake (Angela) and Gina Drake Hubbard (Travis); his grandchildren, Leslie Reed (Brian), Ben Reed, Lexie Blackburn and Macy Gordon (Jonathan); his great grandchildren, Ethan Reed, Preston Blackburn and Adalynn Gordon; and his sisters, Judy Webster, Lois Lovvorn, Louise Fuller and Frances Clay. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home (2500 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 1:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel (2500 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Green Valley Cemetery (2485 Old Big Cove Rd, Owens Cross Roads, AL 35763).
