With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Emma Sue Self Ledbetter of New Hope, Alabama, who passed away on July 12, 2024 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Robert Self; her husband Leonard Ledbetter; her mother Ruby Bea Self (Huntsville); and her siblings, Betty Self, Alice Michaels, Doris Diestch, Roy Self and Johnny Self.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Ledbetter Bell, Kathy Chester (Mike) and Michael Lee Ledbetter; her grandchildren, Michelle Ledbetter (Brian Forte), Elizabeth Bell, Jessica Fowler (Daniel), Lindsey Rideout (Brent), Sara Bell, Garrett Bell (Karin) and Wyatt Chester; and her siblings, Mary Beard (Dan), Bobby Self (Sandra) and Gerald Self (Glenda). She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In remembrance of Emma, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Hospice of North Alabama.
