She was predeceased by: her husband Vaughn Casteel; and her parents, John B. Whitmire and Imogene Fraiser Whitmire. She is survived by: her daughter Kelley Roden (James) of New Hope; her aunts, Sue McFadden (Pat) of Fort Payne, Diane Manning (Keith) of Section and Judy Sampley of Asheville; and her cousins, Tammy Bryant (Terry) of Fyffe, Janice "Punkie" Brooks of Fyffe, Jerry Fraiser of Gadsden, Cathy Fraiser Smales of Nevada and Lisa Fraiser Moore of Fort Payne.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home (2500 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760).
