She is survived by: her husband Clayborn Sowell; her children, Brenda Jones (Paul), Henrietta Roundtree (Jeffery), Marcus Thoma, Rose Thomas (Saifuddin) and Bernard Thomas; her goddaughter Paracina Alghawi (Mohammed); her siblings-in-law, MaryAnn Thomas (William), Gary Sowell (Joyce), Augusta and Gregory Sowell; her nephew Curtis Angelo Thomas; her sister Bernice (Conyers); and her cousins, Juanita White and Syracuse. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
