He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer "Cub" Covington and Alma Donald Covington; and his sisters, Hazel House, Grace Jenkins and Ann Altieri.
He is survived by: his wife Blanche Broadhead Covington of Needham, AL; his children, Eddie Covington (Carol) of Madisonville, LA, Tony Covington (Melinda) of Gilbertown, AL and Melody Fairley (Ron) of Oxford, AL; his sisters, Jean Bundy, Doris Pincura, Lynn Guthrie and Sherry Herrington; his grandchildren, Abby Covington, Natalie Covington, Olivia Covington, Dakota Covington and Montana Covington; and his niece Patti Baker.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Phillips Funeral Home (116 Main St, Gilbertown, AL 36908). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
