He was predeceased by: his parents, Cora Bell Ezell Whittington and Edwin Gary Whittington, Sr.; his son Michael Lee Whittington; and his brother Edwin Gary Whittington, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Eulene Broadhead Whittington of Needham, AL; his daughter Teresa Maxine Bailey (Phillip Gray Bailey) of Meridian, MS; his daughter-in-law Melendie Thompson Whittington of Gilbertown, AL; his grandchildren, Dustin Michael Whittington (Nicole Guinn Whittington), Danly Matthew Whittington (Ashley Nicole), Ashley Nicole W. Pruitt (Harvey Lance Pruitt) and Haley Rena Su Bailey; and his great grandchildren, Rachael Serenna Whittington, Mary Catherine Whittington, Joshua David Shaw, Hunter Lee Pruitt, Gabrielle Alexis Pruitt, Holden Luke Pruitt, Charlie William Whittington and Draven Gauge Owens. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
