As Vernell departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Vernell may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Vernell leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her husband Billy Estill; and her parents, Bert Wright and Ollie Mae Wright. She is survived by: her children, Anita D. Mehaffey of Nauvoo, Donald R. Estill (Charlotte) of Nauvoo and Steven E. Estill (Shirley) of Hoover; and her siblings, Peggy Wright Donash of Birmingham, Travis Wright of Double Springs, James Wright of Double Springs and Terry Wright of Double Springs. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
