We bid farewell to Lester Chambers of Nauvoo, Alabama, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 22, 2025 at the age of 78. Lester touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan McKinley Chambers and Vivian Harland Chambers Elkins (J. A. Elkins); his brother Donnie Lee Chambers; his wife Linda Hodges Chambers Busby; his grandparents, John Chambers and Lula Armstrong Chambers; his sister-in-law Phyllis Jean Chambers; and his grandson David Whitney.
He is survived by: his former wives, Judy Spradlin Chambers, Patsy Chambers and Brenda Whisenhunt Chambers; his children, Tammy Chambers Culverson Scott (Richard Whitney), April Chambers Stewart and McKinley Chambers; his siblings, Patricia G. Chambers Woodson (Ronnie "Woody" Woodson, Sr.), Mickey L. Chambers and Jerry Ray Chambers (Charlotte Chambers); his grandchildren, Amy Culverson Nolen, Jodi Scott Murray and Nick Whitney; and his great grandchildren, Harleigh, Ryder and Molly.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Collins-Burke Funeral Home (303 Oak Hill Rd, Jasper, AL 35504). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Collins-Burke Chapel (303 Oak Hill Rd, Jasper, AL 35504).
