He was predeceased by: his wife Dianne Prather; his son Franklin Bryan Prather; his parents, John Franklin Prather and Alcie Mae Prather; and his brother Phillip Morris Prather.
He is survived by: his children, Kelly Renfroe (Stacey) and Bill Prather (Mendi); his sister Betty Smothers; and his grandson John Tyler Prather (Host). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
