He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Dyer and Pearl Robertson Dyer; his wife Melba Jean Dyer; his daughter Vicki Johnson; and his brothers, Ralph Dyer, Robert Lee Dyer, A. C. "Bo" Dyer, Wayne Dyer, Joseph, Joe and Bill Dyer.
He is survived by: his daughter Toni Deaton; his nephew Robert Dyer; and his brother Wendall "Doug" Dyer. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of nephews.
