She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd D. Bates and Verda Bates; her husband Willie Nathaniel Wood; and her son Steve Wood. She is survived by: her children, Mary Ellen Phillips of Nauvoo, Betty Hand, Tina Gaines, Sandra Calhoun and Jimmy Wood; and her siblings, Elsie Dobbins, Jennie Loveless, Jeanette Camp, John Bates and Sylvester Bates. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
