He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey "Deek" Hopson and Virginia "Ginner" Hopson; his grandparents, Annie Noles, Aaron Hopson, Noah Trimble and Lois Trimble; his brother Pug Nelson; his parents-in-law, Willie Drummond and Marcella Drummond; and his brothers-in-law, Thomas Drummond and Timmy Drummond.
He is survived by: his wife Julia Hopson; his pet Chuck; his brother Grady Mitchell Nelson (Donna); his nieces, Emily Nelson and Laura Gardner (Andrew); and his sisters-in-law, Laura Beasley (Jeff) and Vickie Miles (Donald). He is also survived by Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Old Union Baptist Church (2640 Co Rd 70, Nauvoo, AL 35578). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
