She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Thornton and Vela Chandler Thornton; her husband Harold Reid; and her siblings, Mary Pettus and Robert Thornton.
She is survived by: her sister Betty Hauerwas Landrum; and her caregivers, Mitchell Hollingsworth, Ricky Cook, JoAnn Gargis and Mary Woods. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
