She was predeceased by: her husband Jeral Hughes; her grandson Chase McKinney; and her parents, Malcom Coley and Willie Bell Coley. She is survived by: her children, Scott Hughes (Deana), Bryan Hughes and Jennifer Hayes (Curtis); and her sister Martha Wells Trejo. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
