He is survived by: his wife Elverta; his children, William Michael Strickland, Donna Carroll and Doug Strickland; his grandchildren, Jessica Wells (Josh), Ashley Quinn (Chad), Kayla Carroll (Tad Schmidt) and Whitmey Johnson; his great grandchildren, Seth Wells, Carly Quinn and Jemma Schmidt; his close friends, Howard and Elizabeth Vice; and his caregiver Michelle Fox.
The lying in state was held on Thursday, January 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 11th 2024 at 1:45 PM at the same location.
