It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herschell Lackey Haynes (Munford, Alabama), who passed away on February 23, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Polly Fetner Haynes; his parents, Farris Haynes and Bessie Haynes; his son William Haynes; and his siblings, Leon Haynes, Joe E. Haynes, Mary Hardin and Eunice Dewey Tucker.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Haynes; his children, Ralph 'Buddy' Haynes (Susan) of Munford, Annie Stephens (Don) of Munford, Ruby 'Jennie' Haynes of Munford, Jolene Johnson (Larry) of Munford and Betsy Upchurch of Gadsden; and his stepdaughters, Candace Davis (Lamont) of Alexandria and Wendy Curvin of Jacksonville. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren, and a host of extended family members and friends.
