He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Celeste Gaither; his sons, Kevin Wayne Gaither and Terry Blake Gaither; his parents, Erie Gaither (Pete) and Pauline Gaither; and his sister Mary Roberts (Tootie).
He is survived by: his son Mark L. Gaither (Deborah); his grandchildren, Terry J. Gaither and Serra Gaither (Tiffaney); his great grandchildren, Austin, Hannah, Breanna, Fisher, Lakelyn and Madden; his great great grandchild Lainey; and his siblings, John "Bunt" Gaither (Rachel) and Francis Curlee (Bo). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
