Sophia Clifford Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sophia Clifford (Mountain Brook, Alabama), who passed away on February 4, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Annie Lewis and Curtis Eugene Mize of Central Park; her sibling Gene Mize; her children, Dan Clifford, Katrina Clifford, Leigh Clifford-Drake and Amy van Elkan; her grandchildren, Brion Sokoll, Devon Clifford, Connor Sokoll, Harrison Clifford, Hampton Leigh Adams, Maxwell Adams, Eric van Elkan Jr., Katherine van Elkan, Ryan Drake and Jason Drake; and her great grandchildren, Wesley Sokoll, Jamison Drake and Kinleigh van Elkan.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable contributions be made to: the "W.B. (Pete) and Sophia M. Clifford Memorial Scholarship" fund at Birmingham Southern College.
