He is survived by: his pet Pepper; his wife Peyton Smith Evans; his sister Peyton Bibb Evans of Key West, FL; his nieces, Sarah Ellen Thompson of Montgomery, AL, Hannah Morgan of Canandaigua, NY and Bibb Bailey Coyne; and his nephew Burt Price.

If desired, memorials may be given to St. Luke's Foundation, the gift of time to military veterans especially the Tunnel to Towers, animal rescues and the intellectually challenged.
