She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Whitfield Holcomb and Ruth Hyde Holcomb; her brother George Whitfield, III; her daughters, Rebecca Herren Bashinsky (Robert), Catherine Herren Nick, Elaine Gayle Herren and Alice Herren Hayes (Kevin); her grandchildren, Lisa Bashinsky (John Brassil), Rebecca Bashinsky McGowan (Dan), Robert Wood Bashinsky, Alec Barnes, Pam Barnes Gill (Michael), Elizabeth Barnes Riegler (Justin), Conor Wood Hayes, Christine Hayes Weller (Jeff) and Kevin Hayes II (Jenny); her great grandchildren, Brannon Thomas McGowan, Grayson Wood McGowan, Ariel Brassil, Gillian Brassil, Ben Riegler, Abigail Riegler, Caroline Weller, Hayes Weller, Brooks Weller, Liam Hayes, Cate Hayes, Aidan Hayes and Isla Hayes; her husband Wood S. Herren; and her daughter Anita Ruth Herren. She was also cherished by husband, a loving mother, to her five daughters, a loving grandmother and great grandmother.
