He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Rowan Saunders; his parents, Zoe Reed Saunders and Harris Saunders, Sr.; and his siblings, John Robert Saunders (Bob), Zoe James and Mary Wipfler.

He is survived by: his spouse Ann Bennett Saunders; his daughters, Sarah Hodge (Jerome), Cynthia Saunders, Susan Barry (Jon), Nancy Schneider (Tom), Liz Saunders and Becka Saunders (Billy Kennedy); his stepson Charlie Bennett; his grandchildren, Sarah Rodas (Sal), Cynthia Lambert (Robert), Margot Stuart (Sean), Brian Farley (Raena), Justin Barry (Lindsey), Rachel Myrick (Andy), Natalie Schneider, Max Schneider (Lauren), Laura Schneider, Derek Schneider, William Linn, Alex Linn, Becket Linn, Garrison Linn, Quinton Linn, Amber Madole (Bryan), Willis Kennedy, Jessica Kennedy and Nicholas Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Laine White (Tucker), Sophie Rodas, Chloe Rodas, Samantha Lambert, Rebekah Lambert, Bryant Lambert, Kyler Lambert, Baillie Stuart, Avery Stuart, Weston Stuart, Asher Barry, Iris Madole and Luke Madole. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
