Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Clarke Houston Gillespy of Mountain Brook, Alabama, who passed away at the age of 81, on August 11, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarke Houston Gillespy and Orlean D. Sulzby; and his stepfather Thomas D. Sulzby. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth Gillespy Kiefling and Clarke Houston Gillespy Jr.; and his grandchild Clarke Crawford Gillespy.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be made to the Saint Luke's Foundation.

“Jane this is Linda McGinnis or (Linder) just heard from Dr Dodson about Clarke’s passing and memorial service. He was a great man and one of the sweetest patients I have ever worked with and love to pull jokes on us. Dr Dodson told us about his last time with Clarke. It was so touching. I know you will miss him but we know where he is. No more pain and probably rejoicing with the Lord. Will be praying for you and your family.”
