She is survived by: her husband George Artrey Gomperts of Vestavia Hills, AL; her son Robert Dean Gomperts of Gainesville, FL; her niece Barbara Anne Huffman; and her nephew Reuel Luther Huffman, III of Pleasant Grove, AL..
In lieu of flowers, Claire asked that memorials be made to the choir of the Cathedral Church of The Advent, 2017 6th Ave. North, Birmingham, AL 35203.
