He is survived by: his wife Voncille Byrd; his sons, Christopher Cole and John Leonard Byrd; his grandchildren, Dalton Cole, Darrian Cole, Sybil Cole, Ben Cole and Keagan Cole; his daughter-in-law Lindsey Cole; and his siblings, Howard Byrd, Lem Byrd and Jeanette Weaver.
