He is survived by: his wife Neta Byrd; his children, Jack Eric Byrd (Lynn), Reese Johnston (Wendy), Chasity Salinas (George) and Shane Johnston; his grandchildren, Erika, Jack, Thomas, Tavy, Ashton, Bryanna, Layla and Myah; and his siblings, Margie Sullivan, Mary B. Byrd (Lem), Audrey Byrd and Windell Byrd (Donna). He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
