He is survived by: his wife Emma Jean Busby Buxton; his children, John Emmett Buxton, Jr. (Patricia), Dennis Wayne Buxton, Michael Allan Buxton (Denise Diane) and Deborah J. Buxton Berry (Thomas); his grandchildren, Kristi Lynn Buxton Boggs (Craig), Jennifer Leigh Buxton Eady (Neal), Lori Denise Buxton, Nick Berry (Kim), Lacy Phillips (Justin), Sabrina Eddy (Mikey), Claire Donette Buxton and John Michael Buxton; his great grandchildren, Wesley Blake Buxton, Robert Caleb Posey, Pearson Wayne Posey, Kaley Boggs, Harper Phillips and Colton Phillips; and his sister Imogene Holley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
