He is survived by: his wife Linda Winters Payton; his children, Michael Payton (Sandy), Cynthia Leavell (William), Dain Payton (Tamara) and Bradley Payton (Jennifer); his sister Cleo Wilson; his grandchildren, Candace Ballenger (Heath), Clint Payton (Allison), Chris Guy (Jordan), Dan Leavell (Heather), Cassie Gauer (Dan), Justin Payton (Courtnei), Jared Payton, Macey Payton, Emily Nichols (Karson) and Jacob Payton; and his niece Kim Curry (Tommy). He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
