With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Gay of Mount Olive, Alabama, who passed away on November 9, 2024 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carol Gay to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her husband James Gay; her parents, Jesse Lamon and Leona Lamon; her sister Sherrell Jones; and her son-in-law Fred Mathis.

She is survived by: her children, Lisa, Greg Day, Jan Mathis and Jim Gay; her siblings, Wanda Bradley, Cecile, Ed Lindley, Jeff and Sherry Lamon; her grandchildren, Michelle, Neal Brasher, Luke Day, Macey, Brantley Blow, Claire Mathis, Merrit Mathis and Elly Gay; and her great grandchildren, Lyla, Tyler, Tessa Day, Calvin, Mirabelle, Harlowe Brasher and Clara Dean Blow.
