John left this world on December 28, 2024 at the age of 74, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Hood and Blanche Posey Hood. He is survived by: his daughters, Brandy Drake and Lora Drake (Timmy Knight); his stepchildren, Charlotte Bowling (Mike), Stacy Douglas, Christopher Douglas (Samantha) and Tonya Hill (Willie); his grandchildren, Kassidy Berryman, Jason Douglas, Kayla Hill, Elizabeth Douglas and Kimberly Hill; and his close friend Betty Huston.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Lawrence Funeral Home (12950 AL-157, Moulton, AL 35650). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM at the Smith Cemetery.
