We are sad to announce that on January 30, 2025, at the age of 90, Edna Walker of Mount Hope, Alabama passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Askenburg and Lillie Langley Askenburg Sr.; her husband John Walker; and her siblings, Alfred Askenburg Jr., Don Askenburg, Rosa A. McCutheon and Barbara A. Schooley.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Walker (Kenneth Bryant), Linda Peebles (Glenn), John W. Walker Jr. (Lorie), Mike Walker (Laura) and Greg Walker; and her grandchildren, Rodney Peebles (Shonda), Tessa Peebles Hill (Jim), Johanna Hamel Pierce, Tonya Pierce, Jamie Pierce (Christy), Kelanda Bryant and Trey Walker (Chelsea). She is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lawrence Funeral Home (12950 AL-157, Moulton, AL 35650). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
