Walter Chandler Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Chandler (Moundville, Alabama), who passed away on February 15, 2020 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: the mother of his children Evelyn Shipley Chandler; his wife Ellen Sullivan Britton Chandler; his parents, Walter Jackson and Willie Owens Chandler; his stepmother Mary Owens Chandler; his siblings, Mary Alyce Chandler Johnson, Robert Jackson Chandler and William Owens Chandler; and his stepson Jeff Britton.
He is survived by: his sons, Bryan Ross Chandler (Theresa) of Tuscaloosa, Dr. Michael Owens Chandler (Stephanie) of Huntsville and Henry Clayton Chandler of Moundville; his stepchildren, Dr. Suzanne Wicker (Bill) and Dr. Mark Britton (Nancy); his grandchildren, Eric Bryan Chandler (Shannon), Tracie Michelle Chandler Manderson, Sara Michael Chandler Amthor (Phil) and Allison Payne Chandler Thomas (Josh); and his great grandchildren, Mary Coleman Chandler, Jackson Payne Manderson, Annalee Fitts Manderson, Sarah Evelyn Chandler, Walter Bryan Chandler, II, Anna Jane Amthor and Henry Harrison Thomas.
