With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nashie Epperson of Moundville, Alabama, who passed away on January 23, 2021 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie York and Julie Idell York; her grandson David Neil Moakley; and her siblings, Delia McDaniel, Emma Cook and Ben York.
She is survived by: her husband David H. Epperson of Moundville; her children, Deborah Avery (Jack) of Moundville, Wanda Schulz (Joe) of Moundville, Cindy Matthews (Randy) of Moundville and David Wade Epperson (Tanya) of Moundville; her siblings, Virginia Flannigan, Betty Crowder, Martha Allen, Beverly Wallace, Arlin York of West Point, MS., Wayne York and John York; and her grandchildren, Ashley Stone (Josh), Joshua Hurter (Laura), Jordan Hurter (Aubriana), Ben Avery (Hannah), Dylan Epperson (Lizzy), Emily Harrison (Josh), Meagan Shultz and Meagan Epperson. She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
