It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Hamner of Moundville, Alabama, born in Gordo, Alabama, who passed away on June 17, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Edsel A. Smith; her son-in-law Bill Devine; her sisters, Elinor Hamner, Guesner Jackson and Nell Pepper; and her parents, Henry Hudson Hamner and Lucille Martin Hamner.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Wright (Lloyd) of Northport and Cherry McLendon (Kenneth) of Tuscaloosa; her grandchildren, David Devine (Leigh), Chris Devine (Katie), Laura Merillat (Andrew) and Rachel McLendon; and her great grandchildren, Cal Devine, Morgan Devine, Cameron Devine, Ali Claire Devine, Rowyn Devine and Park Devine. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
