With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lonnie Sampson Sr. (Moundville, Alabama), born in Cameron, West Virginia, who passed away on December 15, 2019 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lonnie Sampson Sr. to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sampson and Ruby Sampson; and his brothers, Keith Sampson and Texan Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Duvall Sampson; his children, Mary V. Kelley, Patricia Hoskins (Mark), Carol B. Akins, Shalimar Rambo (Ed), Christine Shelnut (Mike), Deanna Grady (Jason), Michael E. Sampson (Tracy) and Lonnie W. Sampson, Jr.; and his sisters, Karel J. McFadden and Marcella Ross. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; thirteen grandchildren, and twenty great-grandchildren.
