She was predeceased by: her mother Betty Joe Dempsey Jones; her husband James Cox; and her son Justin Cox. She is survived by: her father James Edward Jones; her daughters, Alegra Teague (Ricky) and Mahala Alvarez (Juan); her siblings, Wayne Jones, Mitchell Jones, Rebecca Thompson (Jerald) and Joyce Lovelady (Tommy); and her grandchildren, Justin Cox, Ashlyn Teague, James Cox, Chandler Bennett, Ariel Bennett, Melina Carey, Malachi Cox and Diego Alvarez.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Parkway Funeral Home (23599 AL-24, Trinity, AL 35673).
