He was predeceased by: his parents, Noble Jeremiah Shelton and Recil Terry Shelton; his daughter Casey Leigh Shelton Fenner; and his siblings, Janet Shelton Crabb, Jerry Michael Shelton and Noble Jeremiah Shelton, Jr. (Jeremy).

He is survived by: his children, Tracey Shelton Ray (Johnny) and Jesse Shelton of Decatur; and his sister Glendora Shelton James (Tim) of Decatur. He is also survived by 4 Grandchildren.
