He was predeceased by: his father Micheal Mizell; his stepfather Buddy Brewer; and his grandparents, Henry Mizell, James and Sue White.
He is survived by: his mother Joan White Brewer; his children, Kaitlin "Punkin" Mizell, Damon Mizell (Ashlea), Joshua "Buckwheat" Mizell and Nate Terry; his grandmother Martha Mizell; and his siblings, Wanda Morgan (Charles), Becky Glasco and Chris Overton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
