He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommy Bentley and Pauline Tillman Bentley; his siblings, Betty Makemson (Herbert), Linda Bates and Mike Bentley; his parents-in-law, Reuben and Kylie Smith; his sister-in-law Linda Smith; and his nephew Doug Hamm.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Smith Bentley; his children, Amy Hulsey (Mike) and Grant Bentley (Holly); his grandchildren, Caden Carter and Cohen Carter; his sister Jo Ann Smith (Willie); and his siblings-in-law, Darrell Bates and Vickie Bentley Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
