With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Dianne Norwood of Moulton, Alabama, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Dianne left this world on November 10, 2024 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Waters Merrell Sr. and Walter Sr. Merrell; and her brother Walter Merrell Jr.. She is survived by: her sons, Jason Norwood (Nicole) and Robert Norwood (Karen); her grandchildren, Caden Norwood, Lara Anne Norwood and Caroline Norwood; and her nieces and nephews, Lindy Wolverton, Sandy Norwood, Walt Merrell, Robin Rhyne, Partick Rhyne and David Norwood.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moulton First United Methodist Church (14595 Market St, Moulton, AL 35650). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

“It was with deepest sorrow to hear about Dianne's passing. Glad to hear it was fast. I will never forget Dianne. We were roommates in Huntsville while both worked for IBM. She was my daughter's Christine godmother and attended Christine's wedding in Napa Valley, California. I will miss her more than words can express.”
