She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Stephenson and Lillie Mae Mitchell Stephenson; her husband Richard "R. J." Coan; and her siblings, Lucy Mae Houston and James Stephenson.
She is survived by: her son Brandon Coan (Shanna); her grandchildren, Chase Coan, Kennedy Coan (Andrew) and Carter Coan; and her brothers, Freddie Stephenson (Vivian), Bobby Stephenson and A. M. Stephenson (Marcy). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideons or the Hickory Grove Cemetery Fund.
