She was predeceased by: her parents, Tommy Montgomery and Myrtie Dutton Montgomery; her husband Kennard DeVaney; her son Johnny Yates; and her siblings, Marie Montgomery, Carlos Montgomery, Wallace Montgomery and Ollis Montgomery.
She is survived by: her daughters, Shelia Moats and Rachel Rutherford; and her siblings, Judy Strickland and Lamon Montgomery. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lawrence Funeral Home (12950 AL-157, Moulton, AL 35650). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
