He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Jenkins; his sister Dorothy McAllister; and his parents, Oscar Jenkins and Mamie Jenkins. He is survived by: his children, Michael Jenkins (Mavis) of Hayden, AL, Linda Hill (Steven) of Summit, MS and Diane Hines (David) of Harvest, AL; his brothers, Bob Jenkins (LaVern) and Ralph Jenkins (Margaret); and his wife Florence Jenkins. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren.
