She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude E. Smith and Stella J. Smith; her siblings, Ethylan, Elizabeth and Raymond; and her grandson Marcus Buckner.
She is survived by: her husband Robert; her sons, Robert Gandy, Jr. (Teresa) and Russell Gandy; her grandchildren, Bethany Cammer (Jordan), Rachel Wellborn (Taylor) and Lauren McClain (Eric); her great grandchildren, Hartford Buckner, Maddox, Jace Wellborn and Olivia Cammer; and her siblings, Jeanette Ellis and Bill Smith (Kathy). She is also survived by nieces and nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that friends please send donations in her name to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
