He was predeceased by: his daughter Jerrie Lynn Eason; his parents, Edna Ethelene Eason and I. T. Eason; his brothers, Lamar and Roscoe Eason; and his parents-in-law, Nelly Howard and Ceci Howard.

He is survived by: his wife Margie Eason; his daughter Tammy Peoples; his grandsons, Richard Peoples (Courtney) and Andrew Peoples; his great grandchildren, Saweyer and Cody; and his brother Howard Eason.
