He is survived by: his sons, Donny Barnes and Chris Barnes (Kelly) of Hoover; his grandchildren, Taylor Barnes (Morgan) of Hoover, Matt Barnes (Calah) of Hoover, Mary Katherine Barnes of Hoover, Zac Barnes of Hoover and Emily Mann (Kyal) of Pell City; his great grandchildren, Elisabeth, Brodie, Barrett Barnes, Wilder and Riggs Mann; the mother of his children Mildred Cockrell Barnes; and his siblings, Wayne Barnes (Martha) of Alexander City, Hugh Barnes (Sara) of Childersburg, AL, Phil Barnes (Joan) of Quincy, FL, Terry Barnes of Sylacauga, AL, Joan Scroggins (Moody) of Wilsonville, AL, Pam Smith of Atlanta, GA and Diane Mitchell (Terry) of Sylacauga, AL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
