He was predeceased by: his parents, Justice Thomas Seay "Buster" Lawson and Rose Gunter Lawson; and his former wife Sarah Clayton Lawson. He is survived by: his wife Caroline Reddick Lawson; his children, Rose Gunter Lawson (David Knudson), Robin Lawson Scheuer (John) and Thomas Seay Lawson III (Parrish Ramsey); his stepchildren, Herschel Towles Hamner, III (Lauren) and Susanna Hamner Ridlehoover (Jeffrey); his grandchildren, Sarah Clayton Scheuer, Thomas Malino "Buster" Scheuer, Elizabeth Fairlie Knudson, Carmen Anne Ramsey, Robert Pierce Hamner, Catherine Marlowe Hamner and Henry Sparks Hamner; and his sister Jule Lawson Lanier. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many loving cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. John's Episcopal Church (113 Madison Ave, Montgomery, AL 36104). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
